Um.

Hello, how are you all?

OK, so I really don't know what to write about. I don't really feel like describing my everyday life because it's not that interesting. I can go on and on and on about some topic, but I don't know what you people want. So if you can like...respond and give ideas, that would be lovely. Yes, this means you, person who is undoubtedly wondering why I keep telling you when I post a new blog.

(Oh, and FYI, I can talk about my dreams or some political issue - but do tell me which one you want me to talk about - or some social thing or give a book review or something. I don't really care.)

In the meantime, I guess I'll tell you about The Man in the Iron Mask by Alexandre Dumas (?), which is the second book in my life I have not been able to pull myself through as of yesterday.

The Man in the Iron Mask is the end of 10 Years Later, which (for all you people who are not well-read) is the last book of The Three Musketeers trilogy. (If you don't know what The Three Musketeers is...you fail. I'm sorry. You fail.)
It's actually a great book - it's interesting, it's suspenseful, it's wonderfully written - until the last hundred or so pages. Then it just crashes and burns.
SUMMARY: It opens with Aramis (a bishop and one of the 3 Musketeers) coming to a prisoner of the Bastilles to hear his confessions, but when he arrives, the prisoner tells him there is no need and that he is rather resigned to life in the Bastilles. Aramis informs Philippe (aforementioned prisoner) that he can't think like that because he is no ordinary prisoner: he is the rightful King of France but he was taken from the royal family at birth so as to clear the way for his younger identical twin brother, the currently reigning King Louis XIV. They make a plan to make switch the two around and carry out out with Porthos, who is another of the 3 and is not told what is going on. It works for about a half hour, then Aramis blabs to M. Fouquet, the superintendant of finances, who goes to the Bastilles and rescues Louis. (Smart move, right?) Anyhows, Louis is understandably furious, so Porthos (who still has no clue what's going on '-_-) and Aramis run away.
In the meantime, Athos (the last of the 3) and his son, Raoul, are hanging out in his garden. Raoul is emo because a girl chose Louis XIV over him. How surprising. Anyways, so Aramis and Porthos come by and they're all like, "Oh, I know we don't talk anymore, but we're going to Belle Isle so can we have 2 of your horses?" and Athos is like "Oh, yeah, sure. I'm going to hug you because I have a feeling that we'll all die before we see each other again." Then they leave and some random duke comes by and enlists Raoul into the army because Raoul feels like getting shot. Athos and Raoul have a very long, touching (no, it actually was) farewell and then Raoul sails off to Africa with Athos' old servant.
Meanwhile, Aramis and Porthos reach Belle Isle and live there for a couple days until D'Artagnan (captain of the musketeers!) shows up. Then Aramis is forced to explain all to Porthos so they can plot with D'Artagnan, who's actually an old friend of theirs. They make a devious plan that ends up failing because Louis has predicted D'Artagnan's every move and has given orders to various officers to stop him with every step of the plan. D'Artagnan ends up being taken back to the king, unable to prevent the attack on Belle Isle, in which Porthos is killed trying to escape. (Aramis runs off to Spain, though.)
D'Artagnan is able to be present at the reading of Porthos' will and learns that he has left almost everything to Raoul. He decides to to to Athos' house to tell them the news.
Athos is sick with grief at the parting of his son - he is physically unable to leave his house. Everyone in the household is sad at his sudden depression, but they don't know how to help. One day, Athos dreams that he has come to Africa and he's looking at a bunch of bodies in French military uniform. He desperately wades among them, trying to find his son, but in vain - for suddenly, he feels a touch on his arm and turns around to find Raoul standing there. They walk up a mountain together, which is difficult for Athos, as he is weak from his illness, but Raoul helps him along. When they reach the top of the mountain, Athos reaches for Raoul's hand and Raoul reaches for his, but they can't touch because Raoul has floated up from the mountain to Heaven. Athos is awoken by his old servant, who has come to tell him that Raoul has died. Athos dies within a few hours. Soon after he dies, D'Artagnan arrives and finds his old friend dead. Much emoness occurs, and the book becomes boring.

So...that's that. Tell me what I should write about. Or, if you want to, tell me you don't want me to tell you when I blog :P I won't be offended, I know I'm boring.

Song of the Day: What Lies Beneath by Breaking Benjamin, just because.
Question of the Day: All of the phone numbers have fallen out of your address book. Whose number do you look for first and why?

hahah you want topics to write about? write about whatever's on your mind at the time, what's been nudging you, your worries or whatever. don't think it's boring, if you write it with passion, with true emotions, it will never be boring, it will always appeal to anyone--that's my advice :)
so you like 30 seconds to mars?
lol, assuming i can't remember any of the phone numbers i've memorized, i would first pick up my best friend's phone number. I guess because I know she'll always help me, no matter what, whatever I need. We have each other's back :] and she's like my sister, and important to me :P
lol you?
